Alex Joyner works out of the firm’s Charleston office. His practice focuses on all areas of civil defense litigation, including construction litigation, professional liability defense, product defect litigation, business litigation, and personal injury defense.

Alex graduated from Wofford College in 2011 with a B.A. in Business Economics and a minor in Government. He was heavily involved in his fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, serving as both Philanthropy and Social Chairs. He was also the President of the Pre-Law Society. Alex graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2014. There, he received the CALI Awards for Evidence and Worker’s Compensation, and the award for Best Oral Advocate. Alex was a member of the Moot Court Bar and the Order of the Wig and Robe, and received the Irving Steinberg Award.

Alex and his wife, Robyn, have lived in Charleston for several years, and enjoy watching sporting events, frequenting Charleston’s restaurants and concerts, and traveling. Alex serves on the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorney’s Association, and is also a member of the Charleston County Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.
